All About MeMy name is Ingrid Richards, and I am thrilled to be your child's 4th grade teacher this year! This will be my first year teaching at Dripping Springs Elementary, but my 8th year of teaching.
I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1994 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career in Lubbock ISD, in 1994 teaching 2nd grade at Bozeman Elementary. I met my wonderful husband, Mark in college and we got married in 1995. We moved to the Houston area where I continued my education journey in Katy ISD from 1995-2000, teaching 2nd grade at Fielder Elementary. I made the decision to stayed at home to raise our 3 children, from 2000-2013. I am a proud mother of my three children Bailey, Madison, and Bryce. Bailey is a Senior and Madison is a Freshman at Dripping Springs High School. Bryce is a 5th grader at Rooster Springs Elementary. My last two years of teaching have been in NEISD from 2013-2015 , teaching 4th grade at Fox Run Elementary. This past summer my family and I moved to Austin from San Antonio, Texas. We love the Hill Country and all the fun things this area has to offer. I love children and I am excited about this year at DSE! |
Philosophy of Education: |
I believe the children are our future...
I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I will help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating. |
